Sloop Browser
Sloop Privacy Policy
Effective: June 2, 2026 | Last updated: June 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sloop handles information related to your use of the browser, local library, Private Space, membership purchases, feedback, and basic runtime services. Sloop does not require an account and shows no ads. Optional in-app purchases and subscriptions unlock membership features.
Summary
- Sloop does not require sign-up or login and does not collect your name, phone number, email address, precise location, or contacts.
- Pages you browse, content you save, files you import, and files placed in Private Space are stored locally on your device by default.
- When you use network features, the information needed for that request is sent to our services or third-party services to complete the feature.
- This version uses UMeng+, Microsoft Clarity, Apple in-app purchase services, and RevenueCat for analytics, stability analysis, and membership entitlement management. It does not use IDFA, show ads, or perform cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking.
1. Information We Process
1.1 Local content
Browsing history, bookmarks, save tasks, saved files, playback progress, Private Space files, app passcodes, and preferences are primarily stored locally on your device. Sloop does not proactively upload or read your local file contents. Private Space and app lock features protect access on your device; please keep your device, system passcode, and app passcode secure.
1.2 Device and technical information
To keep services available, run basic analytics, and troubleshoot issues, we may process a device ID or anonymous installation identifier, device model, system version, screen information, app version, language and region, time zone, network status, carrier name, session count, installation time, crash or performance data, and page or feature interaction events. This information is not used to identify your real-world identity.
1.3 Information you submit
When you contact us by email or technical support, we receive the email address, issue description, screenshots, device information, or log excerpts you choose to provide. Please do not include unrelated sensitive personal information in support messages.
1.4 Network feature requests
When you actively use online configuration, public-link parsing, web processing, remote language configuration, membership purchase or restore, or feedback-related features, the requested URL, page text, purchase status, product identifier, subscription status, entitlement identifier, expiration time, first purchase time, trial status, renewal status, grace-period status, device language, app version, device identifier, or other necessary technical parameters may be sent over HTTPS to complete the feature, prevent abuse, maintain stability, and troubleshoot issues.
2. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services only as needed to provide features, measure quality, and troubleshoot issues. They process data under their own policies.
| Service | Purpose | Information that may be processed |
|---|---|---|
| UMeng+ | App usage analytics, event analysis, stability analysis | Device ID or anonymous identifier, device information, app version, feature events, performance data |
| Microsoft Clarity | Interaction and quality analytics | Page interactions, feature events, anonymous user identifier, device and performance data |
| Cloudflare Workers / Pages | Hosting legal pages, remote configuration, entrance policy, feedback, and public-link processing services | Request IP, request path, User-Agent, timestamp, and necessary request parameters |
| Apple App Store / StoreKit | Process in-app purchases, subscriptions, renewals, refunds, and purchase restoration | Apple account purchase records, transaction identifiers, product identifiers, subscription status, and receipt information handled by Apple |
| RevenueCat | Membership entitlement management, purchase status sync, restore purchase support, and subscription analytics | App user identifier, product identifier, transaction or receipt metadata, entitlement status, subscription status, trial or grace-period status, renewal or expiration dates, and device/app technical metadata |
| Parsing or AI-related services | Processing public links or web content when you actively trigger the feature | Public URLs, page text, or the minimum technical information needed to fulfill the request |
This version integrates no advertising SDK, does not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA), does not sell your data, and does not use data for cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking.
3. Permissions
- Photos: to import images or videos and save media to your photo library.
- Local Network: to transfer files with other devices over the same Wi-Fi network.
- Face ID / Touch ID: for app launch verification, Private Space protection, and local access control.
You can manage these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
4. Purposes
- Provide core browsing, saving, file management, playback, Private Space, membership recognition, purchase restoration, and subscription status sync.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, detect abnormal requests, and troubleshoot failures.
- Improve app stability, performance, and user experience.
- Respond to feedback, support requests, and legal obligations.
5. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Local content is stored on your device. You can delete files in the app, clear cache, or uninstall the app to remove local data. Apple handles subscription cancellation, refunds, and billing records. Sloop and RevenueCat retain purchase entitlement records for a reasonable period needed to provide membership benefits, restore purchases, and meet compliance needs, then delete or anonymize them where applicable. Analytics and server logs are retained for a reasonable period needed for their purposes. Support emails are retained until the issue is handled and for any necessary compliance period.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
Except for the service providers described in this policy, your direction or consent, or valid legal or governmental requests, we do not disclose your information to unrelated third parties. We do not sell personal information.
7. Children's Privacy
Sloop is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without guardian consent, please contact us and we will handle it under applicable law.
8. Your Choices and Rights
- Withdraw Photos, Local Network, Face ID, or similar permissions in system settings.
- Delete local files, clear cache in the app, or uninstall the app to remove local data.
- Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you provided through feedback or support channels.
- If you disagree with this policy, stop using and delete the app.
9. Security
We use HTTPS, system Keychain, local permission controls, and necessary access restrictions to protect information. No system can be absolutely secure. Keep your system updated and do not share your app passcode or device unlock credentials.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when features, laws, or operations change. Material changes will be communicated by updating this page or through visible in-app notice. The date at the top shows the latest update.
