Sloop Terms of Service
Effective: June 2, 2026 | Last updated: June 19, 2026
By using Sloop, you agree to these Terms. Sloop is a tool for user-entered browsing, user-directed saving, and local file management. It does not provide a content directory, recommend specific websites, or host third-party web content.
1. The Service
Sloop provides web browsing, search engine settings, content saving, local file management, media preview and playback, Private Space, cache cleanup, optional Pro membership features, basic remote configuration, feedback, and technical support features. Some features require network access, system permissions, purchase entitlement, or availability of third-party websites.
The current app has no account system and no ads. Optional in-app purchases and subscriptions unlock membership features. Purchases are processed by Apple, and membership entitlement status may be managed through RevenueCat.
2. Lawful and Acceptable Use
You must use the app in compliance with your local laws, Apple rules, the terms of websites you visit, and applicable content rights. You must not use Sloop to:
- save or distribute content you have no right to use, or infringe copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, or other rights;
- bypass paywalls, access controls, digital rights management, or website security mechanisms;
- distribute unlawful, infringing, malicious, fraudulent, harassing, pornographic, violent, or otherwise harmful content;
- attack, scan, interfere with, reverse engineer, crack, or tamper with the app or third-party services;
- use the app for automated scraping, bulk requests, or activity that may affect third-party service stability.
3. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Membership
Membership purchases and subscriptions are optional. The current app provides Pro membership entitlements through Apple App Store and RevenueCat and may offer weekly, monthly, yearly, or other subscription periods. Actual products, prices, trials, offers, and regional availability are shown on the App Store purchase sheet.
Subscription products may renew automatically unless you cancel them in your Apple ID subscription settings. After cancellation, you can usually keep Pro benefits through the paid period. When the period ends, a refund is granted, a billing issue occurs, or Apple / RevenueCat reports that an entitlement is inactive, related Pro features may no longer be available. You can restore eligible purchases in the app. Billing, refunds, cancellation, and renewal handling are subject to Apple's App Store rules and your Apple account settings.
4. Third-Party Content and Websites
Websites, pages, files, videos, images, or other content you access through Sloop are provided by the relevant third party or by you. Sloop does not control third-party content and does not guarantee its accuracy, legality, availability, or safety. Your transactions, logins, saving actions, or interactions with third-party websites are your responsibility.
5. User Content and Local Files
You are responsible for files you save, import, move, or place into Private Space. You must ensure you have the lawful right to obtain, store, play, edit, share, or delete that content. You are responsible for disputes, complaints, or legal liability arising from your content or use.
6. Privacy and Security
We care about privacy and local data protection. Please read the Privacy Policy to understand data handling, permissions, and third-party services. Private Space, app lock, and Face ID / Touch ID are local protection features and are not cloud backup or absolute security guarantees.
7. Intellectual Property
Sloop's software, interface, icons, marks, documentation, and related materials are protected by intellectual property laws and owned by us or the relevant rights holders. Without permission, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from them, except where applicable law expressly allows it.
8. Service Changes
We may adjust, suspend, or remove features due to product planning, legal requirements, security reasons, or technical limitations. We will make reasonable efforts to keep core features available, but do not guarantee that any online service, third-party website, or remote configuration will always be available.
9. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sloop is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every website, or suitable for your specific purpose. We are not responsible beyond what the law requires for issues caused by third-party websites, network conditions, device systems, user actions, or force majeure events.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the app, including data loss, inaccessible content, business loss, or third-party claims.
11. Termination
If you violate these Terms or applicable law, we may restrict, suspend, or terminate related services. You may stop using and delete the app at any time. Deleting the app may delete local data stored in the app sandbox, so back up content you are entitled to keep before deletion.
12. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating this page or through visible in-app notice. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated Terms.
